And A Happy New Year

Well, happy 2012 everybody!
Before I start talking food, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you all so much for reading my little blog and supporting me and passing the link on to your friends.
And if you've helped me with any of my posts, thank you so much.
And just thanks to everyone for just being so great and wonderful and perfect and I love you guys so much.

Okay.
More muffins.
New recipe.
It's better.

So, New Year's Eve I spent with my good friends Alyssa and Natalie (and more) who have both been in some of my past blog posts.
So, naturally, when I woke up, I asked my dear friends what they wanted for breakfast.
Alyssa's first response: "CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS"
So we did.

Grab all your ingredients

Then, take your buttermilk, oil,

packed brown sugar,

and eggs

And whisk together

Then measure your flour

(Not very sanitary, but it sure does look nice)
And combine it in a bowl with your baking soda and baking powder and salt.

Then, gradually add the flour mixture into your wet ingredients, and gently fold together.
[and make sure you get out all the flour clumps....]
And then add the choco choco chips!

The next part is optional, but you all know my best friend, the Ziploc bag.

{No, really, you don't have to tell me how good looking I am when I wake up. I already know.}

Teamwork.
[PATRIOTS!]
So yeah put your batter in here, cut a hole and no mess.

YAY!
{Hi Pop}
And while you wait for them to bake, you can dance!

As always, comment with suggestions or what you think of these recipes. I love hearing from you!
Hope you lovelies enjoy <3
Much love,
Emily

Choco Choco Chip Muffins
{Adapted from here}
Ingredients:
3/4 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
2 large eggs
1 1/4 cups pastry flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cup choco choco chips

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400F. Line 12 muffin cups.
Whisk buttermilk, brown sugar, oil, and eggs in a large bowl.
Whisk flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in choco choco chips. Fill muffin cups evenly (they will be full).
Bake until the tops are golden brown and a wooden skewer inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean; 20-25 minutes. Cool in the pan to 10 minutes, then remove and let cool on a wire rack for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Happy New Year, my darlings! I hope it serves you well!
